History
Gambit was adopted by Jean-Luc LeBeau, head of the Thieve's Guild after he managed to steal a pocket watch from him. Remy was an orphan raised into the Thieves Guild of New Orleans, always in confrontation with the Assassins Guild. He was betrothed to the daughter of the leader of the Assassins Guild in a last attempt to maintain peace. Unfortunately, Gambit killed her brother, Julien, in a duel and was exiled from New Orleans.

His natural abilities and his mutant power, the ability to charge any object with kinetic energy and throw it like a projectile, made him one of the best thieves until meeting Storm (in her younger version) during a robbery. Due to this, he joined the X-Men in the middle of the Shadow King affair, and has continued with them since that moment.

Gambit is quite a mysterious character and his past is not very clear, although he seems to know Madripoor, Sabretooth, and some other old pals of the group. He fell in love with Rogue, though she does not seem to reciprocate those feelings.
